Over the years i have been involved with this subject of Ufology i have meeted and greeted many people from all sorts of backgrounds, wether they be a UFO investigator or just your average Joe Bloggs on the street but one thing allways remains the same and that is, if you have seen something that you cannot explain moving around our skies you are either deluded or crazy.
Over the last 10 years or so i have spoken to many of these so called (deluded and crazy) people, and one thing allways stands out and that is there honesty, they might be feeding me a load of rubbish, how are you supposed to know this i ask myself? Are they telling me the truth or just humouring the cause of UFO investigation, you can never tell.
There is one reason that keeps me personally searching for answers and that is this, i am not deluded or crazy and i know what i saw in 1977-78 in North Wales so i keep this in mind when people are telling me of there own accounts of strange objects and lights that they themselves have witnessed.
It could well be a sighting that they had just last night or one that they had many years ago but the point i am trying to make is that once you have seen or observed something out of the ordinary that you can't explain you then want answers and that is when people like myself (BUFOS) or Sharon Larkin come into the picture.
I met Sharon many years ago and have allways been in touch with her ever since, i find her honest and truthfull and would never doubt anything that she has ever passed onto me in regards to the subject of UFOs etc.
I know that some of you have been waiting to read this interview with her.

PHIL/ Hi Sharon and thankyou for taking part in this interview, you would not believe the amount of hits we have had on our website just to read your interview.
I know its been a while since i advertised this on our site but you have gathered a lot of interest.
Do you not think that it's quite flattering to know this?
SHARON/ Yes i find it very flattering and also i'm quite exited about this interview as it's been a while since i was interviewed by another UFO group.
PHIL/ Just out of interest, how old were you when you first got your interest for this subject?
SHARON/ I was around 8yrs old, i was staring out of my bedroom window, we lived in Newark then, i was as i say just staring outside when i noticed a ball of silvery light high in the night sky, then a couple more and altogether i saw six balls of light just hanging there, i rushed down stairs to tell my parents but they just said it was more than likely just a star that i had seen. I knew what i had seen were not stars and since that day i had been hooked on the possibility of UFOs etc.
PHIL/ Have you ever caught anything on film so that you know yourself that you have the proof of UFOs or the like?
SHARON/ Yes i have lots of footage of strange ariel craft moving around our skies but only from around Cumbria, you would not believe the amount of sightings myself and other people have from around this area.
A couple of years ago it was almost every night i was receiving phone calls from people who were seeing lights in the sky, this was'nt only at night but during the daytime too.
PHIL/ What would you say was the most significant sighting that you yourself have ever had in all the years you have been involved with the subject?
SHARON/ It was around 1999, i had a call from an old lady who lived in Carlisle, she was with three other people so it was not just her imagination.
This lady was driving home from bingo and was shaken when she drove along a country road when a silver disc around 30ft in diameter shot out from behind some trees and just hovered above her car and stayed there for around 20 mins, then the disc just shot back into the trees again. This lady as well as her friends were very disturbed and shaken by the whole event.
I drove around the area for quite a while but i never saw anything out of the ordinary, what ever this thing was it was no longer in the area.
PHIL/ Wow! thats just typical, as soon as you get there there is nothing to be seen you must have been gutted?
SHARON/ Yes i was but you know yourself how it is with sightings, it's just sods law there is nothing to see later after the event has taken place.
PHIL/ You won the UFO Magazine Investigator of the Year Award in 2002, how did you feel?
SHARON/ I was just sat there in the conference hall listening to the nomenees when my name was mentioned, i was shocked to be honest and when they said that i had won i was gobsmacked to say the least, i was terrified because i had to go onto the stage to collect my award from Nick Pope.
Nick asked me what it was that i wanted out of Ufology and i told him that i wanted his job.
PHIL/ What did he say?
SHARON/ He just laughed and said to me that you never know!!
PHIL/ I know how i feel about this next question, i just wondered how you feel about the amount of UFO evidence that there is, and how the governments of this planet that we all have to live on, cover the subject up, especially sightings caught on film or people who track these things on radar. What are your views on this Sharon?
SHARON/ feel the same way as you do Phil only we are only two people and what we really need are thousands of us so called "Ufologists" to lobby the government departments to get the results that are needed, sooner or later a significant event will take place with multipull witnesses that they the MoD or whoever cannot cover up and that is when we, or us Ufologists can stand up and say "Right, explain that one if you can!" and it will happen sooner or later. I just hope that we all live long enough to see this happen, and it will.
SHARON/ My own mum had a UFO sightng many years ago before she met my father.
PHIL/ I bet that shocked you when she told you that one!!
SHARON/ Yes it did actually, because my mum never really took an interest in my work so to speak so it came right out of the blue.
PHIL/ Did she tell you about the events?
SHARON/ Yes, it was around 1969 and my mum was with an old boyfriend at the time fishing in a canal in Cambridge.
My mum heard a crackling sound coming from behind her, when she turned around there was this cigar shaped object hovering above some trees which were not far away.
She began to scream and thats when her boyfried saw this object too.
They both just ran as fast as they could to an old RAF base which was nearby and told the soldier on the gate what they had just seen, they were then taken to a room were several men questioned them both for around half an hour and were told that they must have seen a fighter plane coming into land, when both my mum and her boyfriend denied this they were then told that they must not say anything to anyone about there sighting.
My mum kept this a secret up untill the day that she told me.
PHIL/ I have heard that there was a possible UFO crash in Cumbria in the 50s, is this story true?
SHARON/ A few years ago i was contacted by a farmer from Bassenthwaite who told me that he and his son had found some wreckage of a disc shaped craft back in the 1950s, the date he gave me was the 8th of March 1954.
He claimed that the military recovered the wreckage and that he and his son had to spend two weeks at Kirkbride airfield untill the military had removed all the wreckage from there land.
Sharon goes onto say," this gentleman had told me this story just before he died, he felt that he had to tell someone, the military had told him that what they saw must never be told to anyone, ever"
Sharon also says," after he told me his story i did some research and it turns out this story could well be true as we have names of other witnesses too"
PHIL/ Where was the area were this crash happened?
SHARON/ In an area known as Knott Fell, and it is very remote.
KNOTT FELL, ARE THERE A FEW SECRETS HERE WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW ABOUT?
PHIL/ Do you know of any other UFO investigators who have also investigated this crash?
SHARON/No not as i know of, so i think that i am the only one who has taken this crash at face value and for what it is.
The gentleman has since died and the chances of me tracking down his son are practicly zero so i will just have to be satisfied with the fact i got there before hand.
PHIL/ I take it that there are a lot of possible UFO sightings in Cumbria with the way you are talking?
SHARON/ Over the years i have dealt with allsorts of sightings which include;
A woman putting out her rubbish near Flimby seeing a bright white light doing manoeuvers for three minutes, it was chased by two military jets before shooting north at an incredible speed.
A Branthwaite farmer terrified by a UFO which lit up his field as he tended to his sheep, the object had approached his farm from the direction of the Solway Firth.
A cigar shaped object with a disc shaped craft on either side flying over Carlisle as well as a triangular object with huge emerald coloured lights flying over Uldale at great speed which gave off a sound like an electric generator as it passed.
A triangular shaped craft flying over Workington, the object also hovered over a village called Great Clifton before heading off in the direction of the Lake District.
The list is endless and i could go on all day about the amount of lets say 'stange goings on' in this neck of the woods.
PHIL/ I take it that you can get very busy sometimes then?
SHARON/ That is an understatement, but i know that i have to do this research and investigation as it would drive me crazy otherwise.
