We here at the Bolton UFO Society have met and greeted many people over the last 10yrs or so and within that last 10yrs their have been people who have for one reason or another stood out from the rest. Scott is one of these people.
I have known Scott on a personal level as well as on a co/ufologist level for around 6yrs or so and have always found him to be honest and upfront with his views.
The interview below has been a long time in coming but sometimes these are worth waiting for.
The interview with Scott was at times difficult as his views on certain topics excite him and he feels at times that he has to get his point of view across without offending anyone.
This interview was done at my home on the 3rd of March 2007.
PHIL/ Scott, When and why did you first get involved and get your interest in this subject?
SCOTT/ I have always had an interest in the unknown but i got very interested back in around 1986/88.
PHIL/ What was the cause of this?
SCOTT/ I was out walking my dog one morning in the early hours along the river Mersey in Liverpool when something caught my attention, it was, or it looked like a large glowing object shooting out of the Mersey.
It was very exiting but at the same time i just thought that this sighting just confirms my beliefs in the existance of Alien Technology. It was sort of a wake-up call, if you like.
PHIL/ Is this the reason that you have started your own group?
SCOTT/ No not really, when i moved to North Wales a few years ago i tried to get in touch with a couple of organisations down there, but to no avail. I then deceided to set-up my own.
PHIL/ How many members do you have in your group at this time?
SCOTT/ At the moment i have around 10 or so members. We have regular meetings and also skywatches of which are situated on top of the Great Orme, you get some fantastic views from up there.

PHIL/ Over the years you must have had a few sightings reported to you from around your area, which one would you say interested you the most?
SCOTT/ We have had a lot of sightings reported to us over the years but my main interest from that area is the Berwyn Mountain Case from 1974.
PHIL/ Yes i know the one, the suspected ufo crash?
SCOTT/ Yes, i have spoken to a lot of people regarding this incident and have retrieved a lot of information some of which is new to the case and never been released to the public or the media. Their has been a lot of lies told about this incident over the years from certain people but i am now getting to the bottom of these lies and finding out information from credible people and witnesses and as well, hard evidence that their is and was a cover-up.
PHIL/ No surprise there then, what are you going to do with this hard evidence?
SCOTT/ I suppose when i get all the evidence together i will have to go public with it, people have a right to know these things. This is a British Roswell, this story is huge!
PHIL/ Do you think that the government know about this case and are covering it up?
SCOTT/ Yes, no question about it, the military are also involved in the cover-up too.
PHIL/ Has this case not been allready been investigated to its extent?
SCOTT/ Yes by quite a few well known Ufologists but there are always discrepencies in their investigations, things that just dont add-up.
Take for instance, one bloke in Yorkshire is adamant that their was some sort of altercation between a british military base in Wales and a UFO out at sea around the Puffin Island area and that there are underwater bases out there which is just complete rubbish, but he is entitled to his opinion however bizzarre it may be, but also i would just like to add that Puffin Island is about 500 yards off Penmon, Anglesey and the surrounding waters are so shallow even at high tide, that people can almost walk to the Island when the tide ebbs.
PHIL/ There is a rumour in circulation that you have been given an interview with Pat Evans, the nurse who witnessed the Berwyn UFO and that she has agreed to this because it was (or is to be) held in Welsh. Is this true?
SCOTT/ All i;ll say on the matter is that she is alive and well and has not given an interview for years after being driven out of her home by idiots who made her life a misery.
She prefers to speak in her first language, and her account in Welsh is much more likely to be accurate than in English. Something, that not one single so-called investigator has taken into account.
PUFFIN ISLAND OFF THE NORTH WALES COAST.
PHIL/ Changing from the Berwyn case for a minute, what do you think about the possibility of Abductions by our Alien friends?
SCOTT/ I am not disputing that it has not happened but if this has ever happened then i think it is a very rare event and doesnt happen as often as people may think.
PHIL/ What do you make of these crop circles which happen every year in places such as Wiltshire?
SCOTT/ Fasinating, i am determined to go down to Wiltshire this year and take a look for myself, i dont believe that they are all fakes as some people may say.
PHIL/ Going back now to the Berwyn Case, how determined are you that this event actually happened and that it was nothing more than an earth tremor as has been reported in the media?
SCOTT/ 100% certain, their are too many witnesses who saw the lights on the hillside, heard the loud bang and also saw something stationary on the slope of Cader Berwyn with different coloured lights.
PHIL/ Just how long do you think that you will be investigating this Berwyn Case.
SCOTT/ I will continue to carry on investigating this case as long as the mystery remains and untill i am happy with all the facts .
PHIL/ Last question for you Scott." What do you make of all this hype about Global Warming?"
SCOTT/ Global Warming is a fact and it is taking place i have no doubt about it but what they fail to tell us is that we are at the moment still coming out of the last Ice Age and man;s industry and way of life is helping the warming up process to heat up the atmostphere faster than normal.
THE BERWYN MOUNTAINS
CADER BERWYN, SCENE OF A UFO CRASH IN 1974?
Just a footnote to finish off the interview with Scott.
In 1999 Tony Rowlett and myself took a trip to the Berwyn mountain region. We camped out at the foot of the mountain range for a couple of nights and you would not believe just how remote the area actually is.
On the third day we headed back down the mountain range toward Llangollen to freshen up and get something warm to eat.
As we hit the main road towards Llangollen there was a burger van parked up off the main road. We started a conversation with the burger seller, she asked just what we were doing camping around that area.
She also told us that she had lived in the area all her life and remembers the incident quite well.
So there is some truth in the Berwyn Mountain UFO Crash.
